One of the great fishing lines of the world, TORTUE is made in France by La Soie (The Silk Co). La Soie was one of the first companies franchised to manufacture monofilament after it's development in the U.S.A during the Second World War and their original green supercontrol was formulated with a tough abrasion resistance outer surface which has never been equaled in nearly 60 years and was responsible for naming the link division TOTUE (tortoise brand).

GLADIATOR has been the exclusive distributor of TORTUE in Australia since 1947 and still regards the brand as the finest fishing line made. Many new styles of monofilament and braid ar made by La Soie now, but the original Green Supercontrol remains the most popular with packing's from 300m to 3000m and IGFA sizes from 1 - 60 kg.
